1. Add the Lemonade Stand to your package!
It is a cute rustic addition that can be set up instead of a bar, or can be set up as your guests enter for the ceremony! We will set up lemonade and water on it for you!
2.Make your programs into fans/favors.
This was a great idea our bride had for her outdoor pasture ceremony. She dropped them off and we had them sitting in the chairs for her guests to use and keep!
The guests loved the idea of grabbing a quick drink before getting settled in their seats before the ceremony! One of our brides brought in mini bottle waters, mini juices, and a cute tin trough. We had them on ice chilled and ready!
4. Dress for the heat!
If you know that the ceremony and reception is going to be outside, dress in lighter fabrics. Summer months in Alabama and even into the fall can have really hot, humid days and even carry on into the evening! Try not to come in Easter attire, when everyone else is going to be dressed in their summer Sunday best!
5. Serve ice cream!
Maybe consider an ice-cream bar in lieu of a groom's cake. It will give guests options for sweet treats! Many will enjoy the cool treat. If you are going to have kids at your reception, this is a great idea to make things a little fun.
The Southern House and Garden venue does provide a lot of natural and cool shading for late afternoon/ early evening weddings, but if you are local to this southern heat even you know a couple of these ideas can make the world of difference!
