But now. . . it is back to reality and getting back to the daily grind in preparation for the Christmas season where more food and especially candies and cookies come from any and every direction.
Choose your drinks wisely! Drink lots of water! Don’t skimp out on hot chocolate, but be sure to drink some water after to flush some of that sugar out of your system. As much as I hate lemon water, it makes me feel so much better this time of year hot or cold! I like to have a cup in the morning or evening after dinner and snacks and it helps to ease the pain of over indulgence in especially this time of year. I also make it a habit of drinking green tea in the evenings as much as possible. I will either tough it out and choke it down sugar free or lightly sweeten it with some local honey! Warm herbal tea ladies. . . not lipton’s citrus green tea. Tough it out I promise you it has made the difference in how I feel internally! One of my favorite nights of the week is my “pamper evening” where I take the time to do an in depth nightly beauty routine and I will steep me a hot cup of Acai Green tea from The Republic of Tea to drink after a long nice bath or shower.
Why is this important to you? Because this will help you not regret so much of the goodies you indulge in this holiday season and you won’t have to pop so many Tums or Pepto to get you through until the next holiday gathering. Plus making this a routine will hydrate your body and reduce bloating! Once your body has adjusted to the sudden change in increase in hydrating liquids and you’re not running to the potty every 15 minutes, you will feel more confident in your clothes and in your WEDDING DRESS! You will love the fact that the month of your wedding you won’t feel rushed to reduce bloating and help your skin glow for your wedding day, because you are already on top of that health/beauty regime!
Happy sipping ladies!
